Built in 1767 Parkergate has featured on the map and community of Bassenthwaite & Keswick for generations. Now a luxury large holiday home for a big family or group of friends to staycation, loved by many regular guests and new visitors.

With Skiddaw right behind, Blencathra and Helvellyn close by, as well as all the Derwent Fells and Western Lakes with Scafell Pike not far away, there is plenty for the active to achieve.

For days off – Keswick is a bustling traditional town to explore; or there are the Ospreys to view nesting in Dodd Wood by the MireHouse; ramble to Bassenthwaite Lake; Derwent Water for boating and much more. Being just off the A591 we are also easily accessible to other areas of the English Lake District of Cumbria.

A beautiful first-floor apartment in a converted barn. Ullock Pike has stunning views towards the South and of Ullock Pike itself. It also looks West towards Bassenthwaite Lake and Sale Fell and is perfectly situated to view the spectacular sunsets.

Inside the accommodation

The entrance is from the barn’s main stairwell and landing. Inside, a small lobby opens into a spacious double bedroom looking West. Opposite is a generous, tiled bathroom with separate shower. The open-plan diner leads to a large and fully equipped kitchen.

The open-plan dining area and fully equipped kitchen and lounge is well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break.

This area of the Lake District is renowned for its spectacular sunsets amongst many other attractions. The first-floor apartments Ullock Pike & Calva are well positioned to take advantage of this over a late tea or evening sundowner!

Currently the laundry room is shared with other cottages in the communal hallway area but washer-dryers will be integrated into all cottages in the near future. Apart from this, Black Moss Cottage contains everything most needed for a comfortable holiday.
